Description
Tushpa’s vineyards are in the scenic Ararat Valley. The ground is typically very fertile and the Tushpa makes concerted efforts to control the yields of it’s Haghtanak and Kangun grapes to maximize the flavors of these two varieties Tushpa Red is made from Estate grown Haghtanak Grapes, fermented in steel tanks and aged 7 months in Caucasian Oak barrels.
Like the 2015 vintage, the 2016 is deep purple to the rim. As it opens up, black fruit and herbal dominate the nose. On the palate the blackberry and plum combine with vanilla oak flavors. Medium bodied, tannic, well balanced wine.
Pairs well with flavorful dishes. Try with grilled meats, burgers or pizza.
