Nora (Sevumyan) Voskanov, 91, of Wethersfield, passed away on Friday, March 18, 2022 at her home. She was the beloved wife of the late Aleksey Voskanov. Born in Martuni, Armenia, daughter of the late Bagram and Sonya Sevumyan, she came to the U.S. in 1994 and was a longtime Wethersfield resident and a parishioner of St. George’s Armenian Church in Hartford. Nora enjoyed cooking for family, friends and church events. A loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she leaves her daughter-in-law Rita Voskanov, son Leo Voskanov and his wife Lola of Wethersfield, his four grandchildren, Yan Voskanov and his wife Erin, Yana Fusari and her husband Ryan, Daniel Voskanov and his wife Joanna and Alex Voskanov and his wife Cassandra, and her nine great grandchildren Timothy, Evy, Titus Voskanov, Greyson and Breana Fusari, Lilliana, Damian, Camilla and Vivienne Voskanov. She also leaves her siblings, Valter, Venera, Nellya and Mavrik, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Oleg Voskanov. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Duksa Family Funeral Homes at Newington Memorial, 20 Bonair Ave., Newington, followed by a funeral ceremony. She will be laid to rest with her husband in West Meadow Cemetery, Newington following the service.
